Gary Faulkner

(bass)
Born in Hartford, Connecticut, Gary moved to Maryland in 1966. His brothers and sisters started his rock n' roll education, and his parents formed his jazz, western swing, and bluegrass tastes. In 1978 he bought Muddy Waters' "Hard Again" and the Hound Dog Taylor and the House Rockers album. This music got him interested in playing bass.

Gary's musical influences include Willie Dixon, Charles Calmese, James Jamerson, Donald "Duck" Dunn, John Paul Jones, Jack Bruce, and Jack Cassidy.

Gary is a collector of instruments, alternating performances among various models like the Gary Jacobs Custom Jazz 04 and the Federal Precision. Gary has been with Ronnie Ray and the Coolers since 2004.
